Hello! I'm Alex. I write code, columns, and scripts. Most recently, I wrote 52 episodes for the children's podcast "The Word Search," produced by GoKidGo.

  • Collaborated with a team of developers and designers to serve 3,000+ users across iOS and Android
  • Built 20+ components to display food details and profiles, welcome users, and more
  • Improved test coverage of functions by 12% to limit errors
  • Upgraded dependencies to ensure codebase was up-to-date

File Transcription Research with Professor Ananda Gunawardena

Technologies used: Python, Flask, SpaCy, Gensim

  • Built a website where a user could upload video or audio files, transcribe them, and perform searches for files containing keywords or topics
  • Researched and utilized natural language processing libraries to analyze video transcriptions for keywords suggesting idea or subject transitions
  • Improved test coverage to and maintained it at more than 80%
  • Automatically displayed results in easy-to-read visual format
